Hi,
We have windows 2008 r2 and SQL server 2008. All our databases are on separate volumes and all of them has simple recovery model. OS is on C drive. I am going to do clean installation to windows 2012 and SQL 2012 by formatting only C drive (down time will be for all day). Even I will do full backup of all databases, could I use detach/attach for databases to save some time after OS and sql 2012 installation? Any drawbacks for this?
