MSSQL2008 upgrade failed due to MS office web components

Hi,

During the upgrade from MSSQL 2005 to MSSQL 2008, we encountered below error:

Setup cannot remove the older version of Microsoft Office 2003 web components.

We have tried to

manually remove from control pannel - > add/remove programs

(Error: This patch package could not be opened)

or reinstall Micorsoft Office 2003 web components with downloaded owc11.exe

or rerun owc11.msi in the MSSQL2005 installer

all failed.

Pls advise..
