I have just installed Win 7 (all items are 32 bit) and Visual Studio 2010 using an .iso file and Virtal Clone drive. I tried the same with SQL Server and receive that error message. I have tried a CU but it was looking for a SQL instance which has not yet been set up on my box. I do have an older PC but that is the only problem I have had installing.
