We have a 4-server SQL Server cluster with a multitude of instances that are already up and running (24 instances of mixed versions of SQL). We have noticed that the installations take much longer to go through the install process as the number of
instances have increased. Each step in the "Install a SQL Server Failover Cluster" setup process takes between 10 minutes to over an hour to get to the next step, so it ends up taking a full work day to go through a single failover instance installation
at this point. Has anyone else experienced this?
