Hi folks,
we installed by mistake an Enterprise Evaluation copy of SQL Server 2008 R2 in a production site (Standard Edition was the one to be installed). In this site we have a mirrored database with two servers holding the database and a witness server. Now the evaluation period has expired and we lost access though SQL Server Management Studio in the three servers.
As we have the product keys, we performed a downgrade in the witness server from Enterprise Evaluation to Standard (using the SQL Server 2008 R2 std disk) and it worked, so that we regained access to the production databases from the witness server.
The question is: SQL Services are still running in the two servers where the database is installed but, will they stop because of the evaluation period expiration? If answer is yes, what is the time we have left to complete the downgrade in the two remaingin servers?
Any help is appreciated.
