I've spent all day today with issues getting SQLCMD to work, version mismatches and more. Finally got my master/model to restore on my rebuilt SQL
server. Now, SQL will not start at all.
Basically says: THE REQUEST FAILED OR THE SERVICE DID NOT RESPOND IN A TIMELY FASHION.
I can only assume this is a problem with either the master or model...I believe it may be the model because it looked good until I restored the model.
The Logs Show this: Configuration block version 1024 is not a valid version number. SQL Server is exiting. Restore the master database or reinstall.
SQL will not start so I can't do anything with SQL whatsoever...
Suggestions?
