SQL Server 2012 Express on Window 8.1 64 bit version?

Hi,

I´m trying to install SQL Server 2012 Express on Windows 8.1 64 bit version. When I reach the point of "Installing Setup Files", of the installation process, the installation seems to halt. I´ve tried both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of SQL 2012 Express. I´ve installed SQL 2012 Express several times before on other Windows versions but I´ve never encountered this problem. Is it a known SQL Server 2012 Express/Windows 8.1 64 bit compability problem?
