I'd like to change the max memory setting within the SQL 2008 R2 installer so that it always sets max memory to 4g instead of 0 (the default). Can that be done? If so, how?
I want to do this because I have a machine that I'm installing many named instances on and I want them all to use only a portion of the memory. I know I can change it in SSMS after the installer completes for each instance, but I thought there might be a way for me to do it once in such a way that it covers all future installations.
