I have upgraded from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2012 SP1 on 3 servers running Windows Server 2008 R2 all with the same result.
Why won't it complete? It fills the log in Windows\Temp with GB's of files.
The .Net Optimization process will not complete and lots of messages that look like this:
